Noun Clause as Object of Preposition


नामात्मक गौणवाक्य (शब्दयोगी अव्ययाचे कर्म)



नियम १

Noun Clause as Object of Preposition (नाऊन क्लॉज् ऍज् ऑब्जेक्ट ऑफ प्रेपोजिशन्) ही Complex Sentence ची रचना समजली जाते.

या Complex Sentence मधील Subordinating Clause चा संबंध वाक्यातील Main Clause मधील Preposition शी असतो.

नियम २

ज्याप्रमाणे Transitive Verb ला स्वतःचे Object असते, त्याचप्रमाणे Preposition ला सुद्धा स्वतःचे Object असू शकते.

नियम ३

Noun Clause as Object of Preposition या रचनेत Subordinating Conjunction पासूनच्या संपूर्ण Subordinating Clause चा संबंध Main Clause मधील Preposition शी असतो.

त्यामुळे या संपूर्ण Subordinating Clause ला त्या Preposition चे Object समजले जाते.

नियम ४

याचाच अर्थ असा कि Main Clause मधील Preposition ला जोडून वापरलेला Subordinating Clause हा केवळ त्या Preposition मुळे Noun Clause चा समजला जातो.

तसेच, हा संपूर्ण Noun Clause त्या Preposition चे Object म्हणून वापरलेला असतो.

  • Main Clause :

  • Subordinate Clause :
    what others say.
  • Noun Clause as the Object of the Preposition in in the Main Clause.
Ex. 4
  • There were no complaints except that it was too hot inside.
  • Main Clause :
    There were no complaints except
  • Subordinate Clause :
    that it was too hot inside.
  • Noun Clause as the Object of the Preposition except in the Main Clause.
Ex. 5
  • I know nothing about where he lives.
  • Main Clause :
    I know nothing about
  • Subordinate Clause :
    where he lives.
  • Noun Clause as the Object of the Preposition about in the Main Clause.

  • Main Clause :
