Noun Clause in apposition to Pronoun ‘It’

इंग्रजी व्याकरणातील Complex Sentence (कॉम्प्लेक्स सेन्टेन्स) मध्ये जे गौणवाक्य noun म्हणून वापरलेले असते, त्याला Noun Clause (नाऊन क्लॉज्) म्हणजेच नामवाचक गौणवाक्य असे म्हणतात.

अशा Noun Clause चा संबंध वाक्यामध्ये जेव्हा ‘It’ या pronoun शी असतो, तेव्हा त्या Noun Clause ला Noun Clause in apposition to Pronoun ‘It’ (नाऊन क्लॉज् इन अपोजिशन् टू प्रोनाऊन इट) म्हणजेच नामवाचक गौणवाक्य (‘It’ शी संबंधित) असे म्हणतात.

‘Main Clause’ आणि ‘Subordinating Clause’

Complex Sentence मधील दोन वेगवेगळी वाक्ये एकत्र जोडण्यासाठी एखाद्या Subordinating Conjunction चा उपयोग केलेला असतो.

अशा वाक्यातील Subordinating Conjunction ने सुरू होणाऱ्या वाक्याला गौणवाक्य असे म्हणतात, तर दुसऱ्या वाक्याला मुख्यवाक्य असे म्हणतात.

गौणवाक्याला इंग्रजी व्याकरणामध्ये Subordinating Clause (सबॉर्डिनेटिंग् क्लॉज्) असे म्हणतात.

तसेच, मुख्यवाक्याला इंग्रजी व्याकरणामध्ये Main Clause (मेन क्लॉज्) किंवा Principal Clause (प्रिन्सिपल क्लॉज्) असे म्हणतात.

Noun Clause in apposition to Pronoun ‘It’ ची रचना

Noun Clause in apposition to Pronoun ‘It’ ची रचना नेहमी एखाद्या Complex Sentence मध्ये वापरलेली असते.

या वाक्यातील Main Clause ची रचना पुढीलप्रमाणे असते.

It  +  is / was  +  Adjective / Past Participle

या रचनेचे वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे यातील Main Clause ची सुरूवात ‘It’ या pronoun ने केलेली असते.

दुसऱ्या स्थानी ‘It’ नंतर is किंवा was यांपैकी एखादे to be चे verb वापरलेले असते.

तिसऱ्या स्थानी to be च्या verb नंतर Complement म्हणून एखादे Adjective किंवा Past Participle वापरलेले असते.

इंग्रजी व्याकरणामध्ये in apposition to (इन अपोजिशन् टू) चा उपयोग वाक्यामध्ये एकमेकांच्या जवळ असणाऱ्या दोन शब्दांतील परस्पर संबंध दर्शविण्यासाठी केला जातो.

या रचनेमध्ये Main Clause आणि Subordinating Clause यांना जोडण्यासाठी नेहमी that (दॅट) हे Subordinating Conjunction वापरलेले असते.
